HIGH SPEED STEELS (HSS)

They are used for cutting tools (knives, drill bits, milling cutters, etc.), rolls for cold rolling, and cold work dies.

CONTACT US
High Speed Steels (HSS) are special alloy steels containing high amounts of chromium, molybdenum, vanadium, tungsten, and cobalt.

They are suitable for both hot and cold working conditions, providing high wear resistance at high hardness levels as well as adequate toughness. High speed steels can be hardened up to 67 HRC and maintain this hardness even at elevated temperatures.

They can be used in almost all applications where cold work tool steels are used, and their main applications include special punches, drill bits, dies, reamers, hobbing cutters, and milling cutters. For delivery conditions and detailed information about our steels, please refer to the technical documents.
